Assez procrastiné.
Bonjour!
Ce n'est pas que je ne voulais pas le faire, c'est plutôt que le plus longtemps que j'attends de vous écrire, le plus j'en ai à dire et ce n'est pas toujours façile savoir par où commencer ou même trouver un assez grand bloc de temps pour que je puisse me laisser le temps de le faire sans trop me presser.
Bon. Ça fait du bien d'avoir commencé. Mais là encore, par où commencer? ;)
.. un peu de musique d'ambiance.. ah, Big Bill Broonzy, ça vient drette des tripes!
Peut-être vous laisser savoir où je suis.. je suis à Winnipeg, et encore jusqu'à la fin juillet. D'içi là, j'ai des plans d'enregistrement et de préparatifs pour ensuite reprendre la route le 28 juillet vers l'Est (jusqu'aux Iles de la Madeleine). Il me reste encore de quoi à finaliser, mais j'ai bien hâte, je fais le premier bout (Winnipeg à Ottawa) en solo et d'Ottawa jusqu'aux Iles, mon ami Gabriel Bouchard et moi feront ce bout-là en duo! Il y aura plusieurs nouveaux arrêts et ça c'est excitant!.. j'espère qu'il y aura du monde.. on s'y lance et on verra ce qui en viendra :)
... j'vous partage d'avantage de détails sous peu.
Je vois bien que ça me prendra plus de temps que j'en ai présentement pour tout vous compter, donc on va remettre le grand partage pour une autre journée et je vais vous partager l'essentiel de la semaine.
Un spectacle à Winnipeg!!
Oui, il y aura un spectacle ce samedi prochain (le 15 juin) au Garage (166 Provencher, Winnipeg). Je ferai la première partie (en solo) pour Descalso (Montréal.. originaires de Régina). Le spectacle commencera vers 21h et c'est moi qui passe en premier donc si vous comptez y être, soyez-y :) .. j'aimerais bien vous voir!!
Autrement, il y aura un spectacle du JLB (Justin Lacroix Band) le 19 juillet au 555 Osborne (Winnipeg)!
Alors, j'espère que vous êtes bien.. Assurez-vous bien que moi, ça va.. toujours de quoi à travailler, mais c'n'est-tu pas ça la vie? Ce serait bien plate s'il n'y avait rien à faire :) (.. ok, oui, une journée de repos quand on se laisse rien faire, c'est bon, mais ce n'est bon que si nous l'avons besoin, non?)

HELLO!!
Been so long! And please don't mistake my silence for apathy. I think about you a lot and it the longer I wait to say hello, the more I feel I have to say. Alas, once again, I feel I may not have the time to get right into it this time. I have to do some rehearsing for some shows I'm playing with a lovely gal from Winnipeg this weekend and then I'm off to work.. yes.. still working the job to pay the living. Some day I will figure out how to make my living with the music, but until then, I'll do what I have to do.
So I'm in Winnipeg! Yep hometown-bound until the end of July. Hang on.. gotta get some water. Ok. also took a short guitar break.. confession. I bought a new guitar.. it's an old copy of a Martin D-28, an El Degas (probably mid-to-late-70's).. not perfect, but always fun to have a new guitar.. and don't ask me how many I have, I've lost count... and now I have to go tend to my laundry.. be right back.
Where was I, yes, Winnipeg until the end of July.. then, back on the road; packing up the Sienna and heading out East all the way to the Madeleine Islands (just a little swim East of Prince Edward Island). I'll be doing the Winnipeg to Ottawa portion à la solo, and then picking up a friend from Ottawa (Gabriel Bouchard) to continue on Duo-styles! Gonna be a good one! Hopefully folks come out to the shows.. all we can do is do our best putting it out there, and then showing up! But from now until departure day on July 28th, there's a lot of work to do. Including some recording!! That's pretty exciting! .. and more organization for the tour.. less exciting work :) but always worthwhile in the end.
So yes, I have much more to say, but that's all the time I have for now. I'll leave you on this:
